Financial Aid: Prix du Canada is a non-profit organization dedicated to making performance and training opportunities accessible to all young dancers. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please email info@prixducanada.com to request support. Aid is considered on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed, but we will do our best to help as many dancers as possible.
Time Limits
- Maximum solo length: 2 minutes 30 seconds (Paquita Wedding variation may be up to 2:42).
- No additional time may be purchased. Exceeding the time limit may result in point deduction or disqualification.
Performing En Pointe
- Our top priority is the safety and well-being of all dancers, especially our youngest participants. Please follow these guidelines:
- Dancers age 10 and under are not permitted to perform en pointe. If a dancer in this age group chooses to perform en pointe, they will not be eligible for Top 3 placement.
- Dancers age 11 are strongly discouraged from performing en pointe.
- Adult participants may perform en pointe or in soft shoes; additional points may be awarded for en pointe work.
Warm-up Classes (Complimentary)
As part of our mission to support Canadian dancers, we offer complimentary warm-up classes to all participants. While not mandatory, we highly encourage every dancer to take part in these classes to prepare safely and connect with the community.
